9. COMMISSIONING
Insert the batteries in the 3 outdoor sensors first and only then into the
basis station.
During commissioning, the outdoor sensors should be nearby the basis
station (within 1 m distance but not right next to each other).
Also maintain a distance of at least 1 m to other devices (e.g. TV, computer,
phone) and metal parts (e.g. radiator). This ensures that the basis station
recognises the outdoor sensors correctly.
a) Inserting Batteries in the Outdoor Sensors
—
Open the battery compartment (17) on the outdoor sensors' rear by pushing the
battery compartment lid downwards slightly so that it can be taken off.
—
Insert two batteries of the type micro/AAA with correct polarity into the battery
compartment of each outdoor sensor (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
—
Close the battery compartment again.
—
Now insert batteries into the basis station; see next section.
b) Basis Station
—
Open the battery compartment (14) on the back of the basis station.
—
Insert two AA/mignon batteries into the battery compartment of the basis station
with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
—
Close the battery compartment again.
—
After inserting the batteries, the display briefly shows all display segments.
—
Then the receiver icon flashes on the left of the display of each of the three
outdoor sensors.
The basis station is now scanning for the signal of the 3 outdoor sensors. If not
all outdoor sensors are recognised (e.g. because no batteries are inserted yet),
you may start the search manually later, see chapter 11.
