Getting Started With The TallyGenicom
Operation of the TallyGenicom 6600 is similar to previous
generations of TallyGenicom line matrix printers, such as a 6200 or
6300. However, the 6600 does have differences in panel keys,
operation of the keys, and navigation of the 6600 menu system.
To help TallyGenicom customers quickly understand 6600
operation, the keys are explained and an example is provided
comparing operation on the 6600 versus a 6200.

Offline
X Toggles the printer between Online and
Offline modes.
X Performs a line feed; advances paper one line
defined by the current LPI setting.
X Performs a form feed; advances paper to top
of form.
X In a fault state, attempts to clear the fault and
if cleared, returns printer back to Offline
mode. When Offline and no fault, this key
enters the Clear Menu - Clears Buffers, Clear
All Configs, Clear Current Config, Clear Reset
X Set the top-of-form on the printer.
X With a quick press, performs the view
function. Press and hold down key longer
than one second, performs the eject function,
if Quick Access is enabled.
