With the Renkforce car radio, you have purchased a product built to the state of the art and operationally
safe.
Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe how to eliminate possible errors here:
Always observe the safety information!
No playback, no display, and the lights are out:
• Car fuse defective. Look up the respective fuse in the operation manual of your car. Check the fuse.
• The fuse of the car radio is defective. Remove the car radio and check the fuse.
• The positive line/earth line is loose. Remove the car radio and check the connections of the cables.
Playback only through one speaker:
• The balance control is wrongly adjusted. Adjust the balance control as described.
• The speaker connection has come loose. Remove the car radio and/or speakers and check the connec-
tions.
Playback only through the front or rear speakers:
• The fader control is not adjusted correctly. Adjust the fader control.
• The speaker connection has come loose. Remove the car radio and/or speakers and check the connec-
tions.
In radio operation hardly any stations can be received:
• The aerial is not pulled out completely. Pull out the aerial to its full length.
• The aerial connection has come loose. Remove the car radio and check the connection.
• The aerial is defective. Check the connection, earthing and the aerial itself.
Interferences in radio and USB / memory card operation:
• Interferences reach the car radio via the positive line. Install an additional interference suppression coil
into the positive line.
• If necessary, also equip the vehicle with spark-plug suppressor sockets, distributor arms, etc. to sup-
press interferences.
• Bad ground connection. Check ground connection, use other grounding point if required.
When you press a station button, you only hear hissing:
• No station has been programmed. Program the stations as described above.
