Hold the nozzle to the object that you want to heat, and adjust the airflow if necessary.
Caution: Keep a distance of at least 2 mm between nozzle and object. Use tweezers to handle
components or other objects.

When finished, place the handle back in the holder. The device stops heating and goes back to
standby mode.

The output temperature is below 100 °C and the device is in standby mode. Place the

S-E
The sensor may be damaged. The heating element and sensor components may need
replacing. Contact your authorised dealer for repair.
H-E
If this appears during operation, it means that the temperature cannot rise. The heating
element may be damaged. The heating element and sensor components may need
replacing. Contact your authorised dealer for repair.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The electric power supply cables shall not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the
device.
Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities. Let the device cool down.
Wipe the device regularly with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Do not immerse the device in any liquid.
There are no user-serviceable parts. Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
Replacing the Heating Element
Maintenance and repair can only be performed by technicians who fully understand the
device and electrical shock hazards. Do not attempt to repair or service the device unless
you are qualified to do so and have the relevant technical and service information.
When performing maintenance, only use specified and approved replacement parts.
Before opening the device, disconnect the power supply.
1.
Disconnect the power supply and let the device cool down completely (± 30 minutes).
2.
Unscrew the protective ring [9] from the heating pipe.
3.
Remove the screws from the top of the handle [3] and open the two halves.
4.
Remove the fan [11] and unscrew the circuit board [12].
5.
Disconnect the wires from the heating element [13] to the circuit board. Make sure not to damage
any other wires.
6.
Take the heating element out of the heating pipe [8].
Caution: The heating element is covered in a sheet of mica [14]. Be careful not to break the mica.
7.
Pack the new heating element in the mica and insert it into the heating pipe. Position it correctly.
Caution: Make sure the heating element does not touch the ground wire.
8.
Connect the wires of the new heating element to the circuit board.
9.
Screw the circuit board back in the handle and place the fan back in the correct position.
10. Close the handle and fix it with the screws. Make sure that the heating pipe fits correctly in between
the two halves of the handle: the pin in the handle must fit into the hole in the heating pipe.
11. Screw the protective ring back over the heating pipe.
