INSERTION AND REPLACEMENT OF BATTERY

The Leica Geovid HD-R is fitted with a 3 Volt lithium
round cell (Type CR2) for its power supply.
1. Open the cover of the battery compartment by
turning it in counter-clockwise direction, e.g.
using a coin.
2. Insert the battery with the plus (+) contact
facing forwards (as indicated by the mark in the
battery compartment).
3. Close the cover again by turning in clockwise
direction.
Notes:
• Cold temperatures reduces the battery perfor-
mance. At low temperatures, the binoculars
should therefore be carried as close as possible to
your body and operated with a new battery.
• If the binoculars are not used for a prolonged
period, the battery should be removed.
• Store batteries cool and dry.
Caution:
• On no account should batteries be thrown into a
fire, heated, recharged, dismantled or broken
apart.
• Old batteries must not be thrown into the normal
household refuse as they contain toxic, environ-
mentally harmful substances.
