2.6 Machine­specific safety
instructions

2.6.1 Safety instructions for stirrers

•
Use the handles provided to hold the power
tool with both hands.
A loss of control can result in injuries.
•
To prevent a dangerous atmosphere,
ensure sufficient ventilation when stirring
combustible materials.
Vapours that form can be inhaled or can be
ignited by sparks generated by the power tool.
•
Do not use the tool to stir food.
Power tools and their insert tools are not
designed for the processing of food.
•
Keep the mains connection cable away from
the work area.
The mains cable can get caught in the spiral
stirrer.
•
Make sure that the container with the
material to be stirred is placed on a firm and
stable surface.
A container that has not been secured properly
can move unexpectedly.
•
Ensure that liquid does not spray the
housing of the power tool.
Liquid that has penetrated the power tool can
cause damage and an electric shock.
•
Follow the instructions and the safety
instructions for the material to be stirred.
The material to be stirred can be harmful to
health.
•
If the power tool falls into the material
to be stirred, disconnect the mains plug
immediately and have the power tool tested
by qualified skilled personnel.
Reaching into the container with the power tool
still attached to the mains power socket can
cause an electric shock.
•
During stirring, do not reach into the
container with your hands and do not add
any other objects to it.
Contact with the spiral stirrer can cause serious
injuries.
•
Start up and run down the power tool only
when it is in the container for the material to
be stirred.
The spiral stirrer can spin or buckle in an
uncontrolled way.

2.6.2 Operating personnel

People below the age of 16 may not use the
machine.

2.6.3 Workplace safety

•
Do not use the power tool near flammable
materials.
Sparks could ignite these materials.
•
Avoid causing situations where other people
can stumble or trip.
Tripping over cables can cause serious injuries.
•
Avoid dust accumulation in the workplace.
Dusts can easily ignite.
•
Ensure adequate ventilation in closed
rooms.
Risk due to dust and impaired vision.

2.6.4 Electrical safety

•
Before starting up the power tool you
must ensure that a perfectly functioning
protective earth (PE) conductor is available.
•
Before each use, check the power tool,
connection cable and plug for damage.
Damaged equipment is dangerous, and no
longer safe to use.
•
Note the mains voltage! The power source
voltage must match the details given on the
rating plate of the power tool.
•
If using the power tool with mobile
generators, loss of power or atypical
behaviour on switching on is possible.
•
Do not use the power tool if the cable is
damaged. Do not touch the damaged cable
and disconnect the mains plug if the cable is
damaged while you are working.
Damaged cables increase the risk of an electric
shock.
•
Only use extension cables suitable for the
machine's power consumption and which
have a minimum core cross­section of
1.5 mm . If you use a cable drum, always

completely unwind the cable.
The rolled up cable can heat up and start to
burn.
•
Regularly clean the ventilation slots of your
power tool by blowing it out. Never use
liquids. Never insert screwdrivers or any
other objects into the ventilation slits. Do
not cover the ventilation slits.
The motor fan draws dust into the housing and
a large accumulation of metal dust can cause
electrical hazards.
