1. Before proceeding set the following parameters in the Control Unit:
• Master Menu ENABLE ADVANCED REMOTE ACCESS = ENABLE
• Master Menu ENABLE ADVANCED REMOTE UNSETTING = ENABLE
• Installer Menu MAINTENANCE USAGE MODE = MODE 2 or MODE 0
• Installer Menu PROGRAMMING SECTORS CONFIGURE SECTORS = STANDARD or
SELF-INHIBITION *
* Operation to be performed on all sectors present.
2. Install the Hi-Connect software (version 3.70 or later) on a PC. To install it, follow the procedure
described in the manual "Hi-Connect Installation and Management".
WARNING! Windows XP operating system is not supported.
3. Connect the Web server LAN cable directly to the PC.
4. Prepare and set the PC by changing the parameters of the Ethernet card used.
a) Select "Start" and type: Control panel
b) A window opens, select "Control panel"
c) From "Control panel" select "Network and sharing centre" Note: Make sure that the item
"View by:" is set to "Small icons"
d) From "Display active networks" select the network displayed in "Connections":
e) A window with the information on the network opens, select "Properties"
f)
A window with the network properties opens, double click on "Internet protocol version 4
(TCP/IPv4)".
g) Select "Use the following IP address" and, in "IP address", type: 192.168.1.10 and in "Subnet
mask": 255.255.255.0
5. Run the Hi-Connect software (PWD:123456).
6. After logging in, the main window of Hi-Connect menus opens.
Click on "INITIALISE IT500WEB".
Note: Before proceeding, it is necessary to identify an IP address and the Gateway to assign to the
Web Server. This information can be identified by connecting to the router (e.g. using the Wi-Fi
connection of your PC), where the Web Server will be installed, using the IPCONFIG command.
Proceed as follows:
a) Select "Start" and type: CMD
b) A window opens, select "Command prompt"
c) A window opens, type: IPCONFIG and press "Enter"
d) The list of the active connections and relevant network parameters is displayed
e) Identify the network parameters (e.g. Wireless LAN card...)
f) For the Web Server, use the IP Address previously identified and increase it by a few
units (e.g. displayed IPv4 Address = 192.168.8.18; Web Server IP Address = 192.168.8.98)
g) For the Web Server, use the default Gateway previously identified
(e.g. displayed default Gateway = 192.168.8.1; Web Server default Gateway = 192.168.8.1)
7. Enter the data prompted by the wizard, those marked with an asterisk are mandatory. Continue by
clicking on "NEXT" until the "INITIALISING COMPLETED!" window is displayed.
8. The same screen displays two filled-in fields specifying the MAC Address and the ID Code of the
initialised Web Server.
9. Use "COPY" to save the two codes in a file editor (Word or other), as they are essential for
subsequent registration on the WEB Portal (www.myelkronhome.com)
10. Continue by clicking on "END".
11. A window with "Save changes made?" is displayed. Select "YES" to save the data.
WARNING! If "NO" is selected, the data entered in Hi-Connect will be lost, but the Web
Server will be configured with the data entered.
Note: The factory IP address of the Web Server is 192.168.1.100.
