Moving Wire Lane, Installation of Control Unit
1.) Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
Limousine / Coupé/ Compact :
Remove the trunk floor covering, warning triangle and storage compartments.
Remove the tail plate covering and the right side covering of the trunk.
Remove the back seat bench and the back seat rests (for split back seat rests, fold the right side
forward or remove if necessary).
Touring:
Remove the trunk floor covering and dismantle the loading edge covering.
Open and remove the storage compartment coverings on the left and right sides of the trunk.
Fold the right back seat rest forward and loosen the right trunk side covering.

All models:

Remove the lamp holders of the tail lights.
Remove the entrance coverings and the right leg room covering (A column).
Remove the lid of the glove compartment, loosen the fuse strip above the glove compartment and
fold it down.

Remove the cover of the vehicle's leadthrough for the wire lane to the trailer socket (below the
right tail light).
(see illustration 2, position 2)
Lay the 12-lead wire lane end from the trunk to the outside and then through the hole in the retaining
plate for the socket.
Connect the socket according to the wiring plan.
Put the socket seal in place, join together the inner part with the socket housing and screw it onto the
holder using the enclosed screws.
