Security symbols

The symbols
together with their relevant texts "Danger"
and "Warning" indicate the risks resulting from failure to comply with
the instructions specified below.
Danger
Detection of a dangerous situation in which
failing to comply with a given instruction may
result in death or serious personal injuries.
Warning
Detection of a dangerous situation in which
failing to comply with a given instruction may
result in minor personal injuries and/or
damages to the electric mixer or system.
Danger
Detection of a dangerous situation in which
failing to comply with a given instruction may
result in the specific risk of electrocution.

User safety

Comply with all health and safety rules and directives.
To avoid the risk of accidents during mixer maintenance or installation,
the following regulations should be observed:
Danger
- Never work alone. Use safety belt and rope
and also a gas mask, if necessary. Do not
overlook the risk of drowning.
- Make sure that sufficient oxygen is available
and toxic fumes are present.
- Before welding or using electrical equipment
make sure there are no risks of explosion.
- Danger of burns: during operation, in case of
contact between the operator and the mixer, the
electric mixer surface may become extremely
hot resulting in burn risks. Always use proper
personal protective equipment.
- Do not overlook dangers to your health;
follow common hygienic practices.
- Be aware of risks resulting from electrical
malfunctions.
- Make sure that the hoisting equipment is in
good condition.
- Install a suitable barrier around the working
area.
- Make sure that a fast easy exit to the open air
is available.
- Use a helmet, safety goggles and protective
shoes.
- All the people working in sewage water
mixing stations must be vaccinated against any
diseases that may be transmitted.
Always use the electric mixer according to the required limits.
The electric mixer must not be run dry during normal operation. The
mixer is allowed to be run dry just for short moments outside the
classified area.
The mixer has been designed to be used with liquids that may be
hazardous to your health. To avoid injuries to your eyes or skin, comply
with the following safety precautions when operating on the mixer:
always use safety goggles and rubber gloves;
rinse the mixer well before servicing it;
wrap a rag around the oil chamber screw whenever you have
to loosen it, to prevent sprays from reaching your skin or eyes
in the event that pressure has built up in the mixer due to
infiltration of the pumped liquid.
In the event of contact with toxic chemicals, proceed as follows:
eyes: Rinse immediately with running water for 15 minutes
keeping eyelids wide open. Contact an eye doctor;
skin: Remove the contaminated clothing, wash skin with soap
and water; if necessary, consult a doctor.
All the auxiliary devices of the electric mixer, such as level regulators
and/or control systems, must be suitable for installation within the
classified area.
Comply with national standards and regulations on emissions and waste
disposal.

Handling

Any handling process must be carried out by authorized staff only.
Danger
Risk of crushing. Keep away from suspended
loads.
Use suitable lifting devices only and check
them before starting the operation.
Warning
Use the special lifting eyebolt on the head of
the mixer for the handling of the unpacked
unit.
Danger
Do not use the electrical cable to lift the mixer.
Warning
CAUTION! do not use the propeller to rest the
mixer.

HOISTING EQUIPMENT
In order to lift the mixer, a specific and properly sized equipment is
needed.
The equipment must be able to lift and lower the electric mixer with no
need of recovery time.
The distance between the lifting hook and the floor must enable mixer
lifting.
Oversized hoisting equipment may cause damage in the event that it
should get jammed during the lifting operations.
Make sure that the lifting equipment is properly secured.

Storage

Check the instructions in the adhesive plate at the end of the mixer
electric cable.

Description and usage restrictions

Compact and solid submersible electric mixer, dry run electric motor with
oil chamber interposed with the hydraulic part designed for underwater
operation and handling of liquid waste, slurries and fresh waters.
These safety specifications refer to the installation, the use and the
handling of the explosion-proof machines series F180 for the use in zone
