avoid the free movement of the cable during mixer operation.
Be careful to not pull the cable.
9.
Proceed to adjust the orientation system by turning the pin
27mm. Fix the two remaining screws of the plate.
10. Remove the chain from the lifting system and secure it to the
orientation system.
Warning
Make sure that the cables are not bent or
pinched, to avoid undue wear or damage.
To remove the mixer, the guide rail must
always be in position 0°.
Regulating the inclination of the mixer
Procedure
1.
select the degree of inclination and assemble the sliding rollers
on the guiding bracket, observing the numbering. To change
from an inclination of 0°, -10°, -20° to +10°, +20° and vice
versa, it is necessary to turn the sliding bracket upside down.
2.
adjust the length of the chains so that both branches are taught
and that the 2 rollers on the mixer side are parallel to the
guiding pole.
Electrical connections
The entire electric system must be installed by skilled personnel. Follow
local rules and regulations.
Entry of the cable
The entry of cable is an integral part of case.
The motor is supplied exclusively with the connected and inseparable
cables protected by cable protection sheaths against the damage risk due
to mechanical stress. The connection ends of the cable must be made
according to one of the types of protection specified in EN 60079-0,
compliant to the rules applicable to the place of use of the motor.
Warning
- Cable provided with protective sheath, risk of
static electricity, prevent accumulation of
sediment by the cleaning of the sheath with
antistatic materials or performing the operation
in safe areas.
- Do not add joints unless provided by the
manufacturer.
- Do not lift the mixer by the power cord.
- All unused conductors must be insulated.
Ground connection
In addition to the ground connection envisaged inside the motor casing,
this one is equipped with one second ground connection connected
outside.
This one must be connected with the general mass of the installation with
a wire of adequate section.
According to the section S of the wire of line, the section of the ground
driver must be:
= S
25
≥ 0,5 S
Connecting to protections
Thermal protection of the motor.
All the products are equipped with thermal probe, to be always connected
to control panel. The electric products are equipped with a set of three
temperature probes placed in the stator winding, calibrated to intervene at
a temperature of 130°C.
The activation of thermal protection must interrupt power supply.
Power supply shall not be automatically restored.
Water infiltration detector.
For mixer equipped with a built-in device that detects water infiltration in
the motor chamber.
The sensor detects the presence of water. Should the sensor be activated,
we recommend to perform maintenance.
The sensor must be connected to a monitoring device.
Connecting to the mains
Danger
The command and control equipment cannot
be installed inside the sump pit.

Remember that the initial input current for direct starting may be up to 6
times the rated absorption; therefore, make sure that the fuses or the
automatic switches have the adequate setting.
Warning
The operation with inverter produces electromagnetic emissions or
dispersion of induced currents which may lower the security standard
required by ATEX classification of the area where the machine operates:
always refer to the inverter user manual for information about EMC
installation requirements.
Warning
Electric motor
Motor asynchronous squirrel cage type, insulation class H (180°C). Dry
motor, cooled by surrounding liquid. Protection degree IP 68.
The motor is designed for continuous or intermittent operation, with a
maximum of 15 starts per hour at regular intervals.
The motor is designed for work with 5% maximum voltage unbalance
between the phases (in compliance with norms CEI EN 60034-1).
Direction of rotation
The direction of rotation must be carefully checked when the pumps are
started.
Warning
The direction of rotation is correct if the propeller seen from the rear
(engine side) rotates clockwise.
Danger
Three-phase: if the direction of rotation is wrong you need to invert any 2
of the 3 phase wires on the terminal board of the electrical box.
Electrical panel
Danger
This series of submersible pumps must be equipped with an electrical
control panel. The panel must be designed to allow both manual and
automatic operation.
It should be equipped with at least a low voltage control circuit, an
automatic level control and adjustment circuit, a circuit for detecting any
operating anomalies.
The complete control panel can be supplied upon request.
Level regulators are installed inside the well and must ensure the machine
full submersibility during any operation mode.
The control devices must be certified according to the area classification.
10
- Make sure voltage and mains power
frequency correspond to the electric mixer's
plate specifications.
- Voltage supply must correspond to that
specified in the plate, with a 10% tolerance for
non-constant full-load operation.
- Always check the electrical parameters in the
plate.
-
Make
sure
the
calibration
amperometric protection does not exceed the
specified value.
- It is mandatory using Danfoss inverter VLT
FC202 series or newest equivalent models with
increased performance characteristics, which
must be authorized by Faggiolati Pumps S.p.A.
- The inverter's internal switching frequency
must be under 4kHz or be set to the minimum
frequency value allowed..
- The inverter must be equipped with
appropriate [dv/dt] reduction filters between
the inverter and the motor.
- The minimum switching frequency value is
35Hz; the maximum frequency shall never
exceed the plate values.
- The manufacturer shall be asked for the
characteristic
curves
for
operation
frequencies different from the nominal one
specified in the plate.
- The maximum values specified in the electric
mixer's plate shall never be exceeded.
- It is mandatory using the electric power
supply cables provided with the electric mixer.
If the direction of rotation is wrong the
delivery of the mixer is inadequate and may
result in damage to the unit.
Danger of crushing: the electric mixer may
violently kickback while starting up. Always
operate from a steady position and at a safety
distance.
Do not connect the mixer directly by means a
plug; connect the electric cable to a control box
with thermal protection.
