Applications
The set SIEM2 / 5 is a wireless mono audio trans
mission system designed for stage monitoring
(inear monitoring); it is also suited for various other
mobile audio signal transmissions, e g wireless
command or control transmission The set includes
the transmitter SIEM2T and the receiver SIEM2 / R5
with the earphones IE1 To extend the system,
the receiver and the earphones are also available
separately Thus, you will be able to operate any
number of receivers with a single transmitter
3.1 Conformity and approval
Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare that
the products SIEM2 / 5 and SIEM2 / R5 comply with
the directive 2014 / 53 / EU The EU declarations of
conformity are available on the Internet:

Setting the System into Operation
4.1 Setting up the transmitter
To obtain the best transmission quality, place the
transmitter at the height of the receiver (approx
1 m above the ground) Make sure that there are no
obstacles between the transmitter and the receiver
Keep a distance of approx 1 m between the trans
mitter and lateral walls
For installing the transmitter into a rack
(482 mm / 19"), use the mounting frame DR900SET
The frame allows installation of two transmitters
After setting up, place the transmitting an
tenna (7) in a vertical position
4.2 Connecting the transmitter
1) Connect the signal source(s), e g microphone,
output of a mixer, to the jacks MIC / LINE (1) The
jacks are designed for balanced signals If there
is only an unbalanced signal at the output of
the signal source, feed this signal to the input
jack via a 6 3 mm mono plug
2) To route the input signals from the jacks MIC /
LINE 1 and 2 to another unit (e g amplifier,
second transmitter, recorder), these signals are
available at the jacks LOOP OUT (8)
3) For power supply, connect the power supply
unit provided to the jack "⎓DC 12~18V" (11),
then connect it to a mains socket (230 V / 50 Hz)
To prevent accidental disconnection of the
plug from the jack "⎓DC 12~18V", wrap the
cable around the hook (9) from below for strain
relief
4.3 Power supply of the receiver
For power supply, two (rechargeable) batteries of
size AA are required
•
Only insert two batteries of the same type and
always replace both of them
•
If the receiver is not in use for a longer period
of time, always remove the batteries to prevent
damage due to battery leakage
