Time for filter cartridge change

For small sterilisers according to EN 13060, we recommend changing
the filter cartridge from a conductivity of the demineralised water of
15 - 20 μS/cm.

Filter cartridge exchange

Close the water supply and switch off any existing power supply of
the terminal.

Open the locking handle

Actuate the 'flush valve' and depressurise the system

Remove the used filter cartridge from the filter head.

Pull tab off protective cap of filter cartridge upwards, remove
protective cap. Note the next replacement date.

Open the filter head lock. Insert the filter cartridge vertically in the
filter head and pay attention to the correct position. Then turn the
locking handle until it clicks into place.

If using the foot, insert the cartridge into the foot. Open the water
supply and, if necessary, switch on any existing power supply of
the terminal.

Operate the 'flush valve' and flush the filter system until bubble-
free and the filtered water runs clear. At least 5.4 litres must be
flushed.
Note: When venting/flushing, collect the water from the flush tube
in a suitable container and check the system for any leaks.

Disposal of the filter cartridge

Used filter cartridges are classified as non-hazardous special waste.
They must be disposed of in accordance with the local, regional and
state regulations.
The CER number for wetted or used ion exchange resins intended for
the production of demineralised water is 19 09 05.
