For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age as well as persons who cannot recognise
possible danger or who are not familiar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use the unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the unit
on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected and
misused. Only operate the unit if no persons are in the water! Prior to reaching into the water, always disconnect the
power supply to all units used in the water.
Compare the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type plate on the packing or on the unit itself. Ensure
that the unit is fused for a rated residual current of max. 30 mA via a residual current-operating system. Only operate the
unit when plugged into a correctly fitted socket. Keep the power plug and all connection points dry! Do not operate or
leave the unit in the rain. Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables approved for
outside use. Do not carry or pull the unit by the connection cable! Never operate the unit if the cable or housing are
defective! In case the mains connection cable of the unit is damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer or his
customer service. Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the international and national regulations valid for
installers. Never open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating
instructions. Never carry out technical changes to the unit. Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit. Only
allow authorised customer service outlets to perform repairs. Never use the unit to vacuum flammable or toxic substances
(e.g. benzene, asbestos, asbestos dust, toner for copying machines) or volatile substances, acids, hot or burning ashes,
dust, sand or similar dirt. Never use the unit in the vicinity of explosive fluids or vapours. The unit is not explosion
protected. For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician when you have questions or encounter problems!
Installation
The wheels are not fitted and have to be inserted into the housing (A2). Remove accessory parts possibly stowed in the
tank. Unlock the container locking system (C1), remove motor housing (C2). Remove all parts from the collection
container (D2), refit and lock the motor housing. Connect the suction hose to the intake distributor (B3). Fit the extension
tubes. Slide on one of the nozzles supplied.
To facilitate transport, the position of the transport brace (B1) can be changed by loosening the hand screw (B2). The
brace can be hinged down for storage.
Installation
Install the unit at water level and at a minimum distance of 2 m from the pond. Ensure that the unit stands safely.
Start-up
Connect the unit to the power supply. The unit is equipped with a 2 position main switch:
– Position I: Automatic mode. Continuous vacuum cleaning and discharge.
– Position 0: The unit is switched off.
Use as sludge remover
Attention! Never operate the unit without foam filter or float switch!
Insert the drain hose in the rear outlet opening (C3) of the collection container. The unit automatically switches to vacuum
cleaning and discharge. Vacuum cleaning is continuous. The unit discharges continuously through the outlet. Ensure a
gravity draining for the drain hose and make sure that the hose is straight. Attention! Avoid kinks, bends and ground
unevenness to ensure that the sludge water can drain freely. Dispose of the sludge water in accordance with the local
regulations.
For thin layers of sludge, turn the ground nozzle through 180°. At end of work, switch the unit off at the main switch.
