to select an input
4 LEDs L1 – L 8, light up when the corresponding output has
been connected to a display unit
5 ON/OFF switch

7 Signal outputs OUTPUT
8 Signal inputs INPUT
3 Safety Notes
The units (signal switch / splitter and power supply unit) cor-
respond to all relevant directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.
WARNING The power supply unit uses dangerous mains
voltage. Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling may result in electric
shock.
The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect them
against dripping water, splash water and high air humidity.
The admissible ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the unit, e. g. a
drinking glass.
The heat produced inside the signal switch/splitter must be
dissipated via the air vents; therefore, never cover the air vents.
Immediately disconnect the power supply unit from the socket
1. if the power supply unit or the signal switch/splitter is visibly
damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was dropped
or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case, the units must be repaired by skilled personnel.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water or
chemicals.
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for any re-
sulting personal damage or material damage will be accepted
if the units are used for other purposes than originally in-
tended, if they are not correctly connected or operated, or if
they are not repaired in an expert way.

If the units are to be put out of operation definitively,
take them to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.
4 Operation
1) The remote control is operated by means of a 3 V button
cell (type CR 2025). If the remote control is supplied with a
battery inserted, remove the protective film (to protect the
battery from being discharged) from the battery holder. The
remote control is now ready for operation. When you press a
button on the remote control, always point the remote con-
trol at the IR sensor (2). There must be no obstacles between
the sensor and the remote control.
To insert or replace the battery, push the latch of the bat-
tery holder on the rear to the right (arrow 1 in the figure
below). Remove the holder (arrow 2) and insert the battery
with the positive pole facing up.
CR2025
If the remote control is not in use for a longer period of
time, always remove the battery to prevent damage due to
battery leakage.
Never put batteries in the household waste. To protect
the environment, always take them to a special waste
disposal, e. g. collection container at your retailer.
2) Connect the signal sources to the inputs HDMI IN (8). Con-
nect the display units to the outputs HDMI OUT (7).
3) Connect the power supply unit provided to the jack DC 12V
(6) and to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz).
4) Use the ON/OFF switch (5) to switch on HDMS-2084K. The
ON / OFF switch and the red LED IN (1) of the most recent
input selected (8) will light up.
5) To switch to another input, press the button SELECT (3) or
press the button
6) After operation, use the ON / OFF switch to switch off the
signal switch / splitter. If the signal switch / splitter is not in use
for a longer period of time, disconnect the power supply unit
from the socket. It will consume some power even when the
signal switch / splitter has been switched off.
