Connecting and
commissioning
DANGER
Fatal injury due to electric shock.
When installing electrical
accessories, make sure that the
cables are not damaged.
Check the cables for cuts or
notches.
Do not operate the aquarium if
cables are damaged.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the cover and flap hinges.
Proceed carefully when removing
the flaps.
16
The rear flap (Fig. A, 5) must first be
removed to connect accessories with mains
plugs.
To do this, open the flap 45°.
Gently lift upwards.
Remove the flap.
Store the flap in a secure location.
Make sure that the mains power cables or
hoses for accessories are also guided
through the corresponding cable
passages (Fig. A, 7).
The cable passages are blocked on
delivery.
Carefully break out the blocks by hand or
with a suitable pair of pliers.
Insert the cable into the guide.
To reinsert the flap, first engage one pivot
pin directly into the corresponding hole in
the flap pivot.
Then engage the opposite hinge.
Close the cover.
Insert the mains plug for the illumination
into a suitable socket.
Also connect any accessories to a socket.
Switch on the illumination using the on/off
switch (Fig. A, 4).
A timer switch can be used for regular
light and dark phases in the aquarium.
Ideally, the light should be switched on
for 8 to 12 hours per day. Suitable
timer switches can be obtained from
specialist electrical retailers.
Only insert your fish once the
aquarium has undergone an
appropriate run-in phase. Information
on this can be found in the enclosed
brochure.
