Probe covers – Applying & Removing
4.3.1 Open probe cover box by lifting tab at top corner and pulling to remove top
panel.
4.3.2 Insert box of probe covers into the top of probe insert. (To aid infection control, use
ever a separate probe cover box for blue and a separate for red probe).
4.3.3 Remove thermometer probe from the probe insert.
4.3.4 To help remind the user to apply or remove a probe cover, the probe cover
icon will be displayed.
4.3.5 Insert the probe end into a probe cover in the box. Push the handle firmly
until you feel the cover "snap" into place.
4.3.6 Take appropriate temperature measurement (oral, axillary or rectal).
4.3.7 Eject the used cover into bio-waste container by pressing top button.
4.3.8 Remove, discard and replace box when empty.

Low ambient temperature
Ambient temperature is lower than the range of equip-
ment.
The symbol shows the user that the ambient tempera-
ture is outside the ambient temperature range of the
thermometer.
The device is to determine to be used in a controlled
environment.
The device must not be exposed to harsh / rough en-
vironmental conditions.
