Setting the Clock
This manual describes the procedure for using the
remote controller, unless otherwise specified.

Press the [TIMER] button repeatedly to
display "Clock."
If the clock has not been set yet, only "Clock"
will appear.

Press the [ENTER] button.

Press the [q]/[w] buttons to set the day of
the week, then press the [ENTER] button.

Press the [q]/[w] buttons to set the hour,
then press the [ENTER] button.
To switch between 24-hour and 12-hour display,
press the [DISPLAY] button.

Press the [q]/[w] buttons to set the minute,
then press the [ENTER] button.
When you press the [ENTER] button, clock count
starts from 00 seconds.
Displaying the clock time
If the CD receiver is in standby mode, press the
[CLOCK CALL] button. The clock time appears on the
display for about 8 seconds. While the CD receiver is
turned on, press the [CLOCK CALL] button. The clock
time is displayed continuously.
Note:
• If a power outage occurs, the clock will stop and
"-- : --" will appear. Also, all programmed timers will
be canceled. Set the clock again, and turn on the
necessary timers.

Using the Timer
This manual describes the procedure for using the
remote controller, unless otherwise specified.
The CD receiver features a sleep timer that places the
unit into power standby mode after a specified period of
time. It also features four programmable timers that
initiate playback of a specified source at a specified
volume level at a specified time.
Using the Sleep Timer
When the sleep timer is enabled, the CD receiver will
enter power standby mode after a specified period of
time.

While the power to the CD receiver is on,
press the [SLEEP] button.
"Sleep 90" appears for about 8 seconds, then the
unit will enter power standby mode in 90 minutes.
While the sleep timer is enabled, the SLEEP
indicator appears on the display.

While the Sleep time is displayed, press
the [SLEEP] button repeatedly to set the
desired time.
Each press of the [SLEEP] button will shorten the
sleep time in 10 minute increments.
Checking the Remaining Sleep Time
To check the remaining sleep time, press the [SLEEP]
button. You can shorten the sleep time in 10 minute
increments by pressing the [SLEEP] button while the
sleep time is displayed.
Canceling the Sleep Timer
To cancel the sleep timer, press the [SLEEP] button
repeatedly until "Sleep Off" appears. If you want to
power off the CD receiver immediately, press the [8]
button.
Programming a Timer
Before programming a timer, you must set the clock.
(see page 31) Also, if you plan to program a timer for
DAB or FM, first you must preset the desired DAB or
FM broadcast stations (see page 27).

If only "Clock" appears, the clock has not been
set yet. Set the clock first (see page 31).
