Operation

This power tool is supplied from single-phase alternating
current mains only. It is double insulated according to EN
60745-1, IEC 60745 and can be connected to grounded
or not grounded sockets. This power tool is radio sup-
pressed in compliance with EMC Directive 2004/108/
EC.
This power tool is designed for sawing wooden, plastic
and metal plates and shapes.

PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION

▪ Make sure the power supply voltage corresponds to
the value indicated on the name plate with technical
data of the tool.
▪ Always check the position of ON/OFF switch. The
power tool must be connected to the power supply
socket only when this switch is in OFF position. If the
plug is connected to a receptacle while the power
switch is in the ON position, the power tool will start
operating immediately, which could cause a serious
accident.
▪ Make sure that the cord and the plug are in order. If the
replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has
to be done by the manufacturer or his agent in order
to avoid a safety hazard.
▪ Always make sure that the blade is secured in the
holder.
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
power tool prior to any adjustment, servicing or main-
tenance or in case of mains drop-out.

immediately.
Do not lock the ON/OFF switch by button (3) while per-
forming jobs which may require instant stopping of the
saw.

cally illuminated.
ADJUSTING THE SPEED (TH 65E, TH 70E)
Adjusting the speed improves the performance quality
and prevents the surface of the processed material from
damage.
The stroke rate can be adjusted by turning the regulator
(2) in the direction, marked by arrows. (Fig.1)
Hold your saw in normal operation position and rotate
the thumbwheel (2) counter clockwise to increase speed.
Turn the thumbwheel (2) clockwise to reduce speed.
NOTE: Adjusting the speed improves the performance
quality and prevents the surface of the processed mate-
rial from damage.
If you wish to lock the switch on at a given speed, de-
press the switch trigger, push in and hold the lock-on but-
ton. Adjust the variable speed regulator until the desired
speed is reached.
NOTE: If the variable speed regulator is fully turned in
clockwise direction (zero setting for TH 65E or A setting
for TH 70E) your saw may not run.
If you choose not to use the variable speed regulator,
turn it entirely in counter clockwise direction. This will al-
low the speed of your saw TH 65E to be controlled by the
pressure on the switch trigger only (for model TH 70E
the speed can be adjusted only by means of the regula-
tor and does not depend on the pressure on the switch
trigger).
Avoid operating the saw at low speed for extended pe-
riod of time. Otherwise you may cause overheating the
saw. If this occurs, cool the saw by running it at no load
and full speed.
The stroke rate must suit the kind of processed ma-
terial. The following guidelines may be used in de-
termining correct speed for various applications:
▪ LOW speed is appropriate for starting cuts.
▪ MEDIUM speed is suitable for cutting hard metal,
plastics and laminates.
▪ HIGH speed produces best results when cutting
wood, aluminium, brass and copper.
Define the optimum speed by making a test cut in a piece
of waste material.
BLADE INSTALLING (Fig.2)
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
power tool prior to any adjustment, servicing or main-
tenance or in case of mains drop-out.
▪ Remove the fence (4).
▪ Press the blade (7) slightly to the roller guide (10).
▪ Press the blade quick release button (17).
▪ Pull the blade out.
