404-1 System, Distributing Pro-Joining-Measuring Pro-Sorting Inline – Operating instructions
45. The RFID read head either moves up or stays in the lowered position depending on the height of the
workpiece.
46. The workpiece is stopped at the Measuring Pro station's first RFID write/read head for reading/writing.
47. The order number is read and the necessary steps are requested from the MES.
48. The workpiece moves to the first fork light barrier. Then it continues to move at reduced speed. The two
fork light barriers are used to sense whether it is a round workpiece or a carton. Cartons are not
measured using the tactile measurement module. The corresponding work step is skipped. An
information message is shown in the status area of the web interface.
49. The workpiece is gripped by the gripper. Then the gripper moves up.
50. The remaining procedure differs according to the MES order.
Case 1: The height of the workpiece needs to be defined
51. The workpiece is transported to the measurement table and is set down there.
52. The measuring cylinder advances with reduced pressure until contact is made with the workpiece or
with the point to be measured.
53. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
Case 2: The weight of the workpiece needs to be defined
51. The workpiece is transported to the scales module and is set down there.
52. The weight is determined.
53. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
Case 3: The height and weight of the workpiece need to be defined
51. First, the workpiece is transported to the measurement table and is set down there.
52. The measuring cylinder advances with reduced pressure until contact is made with the workpiece or
with the point to be measured.
53. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
54. The workpiece is transported to the scales module and is set down there.
55. The weight is determined.
56. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
Further sequence
57. Depending on the preceding sequence and result the workpiece is either ejected from the process or
transported further.
Case 1: Measurement result(s) correct
58. The workpiece is transported to the end of the conveyor or to the next station.
59. Sorting Inline station motor on.
60. The workpiece is stopped at the Sorting Inline station's first RFID write/read head for reading/writing.
61. Measuring Pro station conveyor motor off.
