All electrical wiring must be in-
stalled in accordance with current
legislation.
Make sure that the blower motor
rotates in the correct direction.
Steel wire is often used at the fac-
tory to secure the distributor impel-
ler during transport. Remember to
remove the wire before starting the
aspirator.
Setting the air damper
The cleaning capacity of the as-
pirator depends on the air yield of
A
the blower. The wider the blower
damper (A) is opened, the more
impurities will be removed from the
material flowing through the aspira-
tor.
To set the cleaning capacity, open
the damper slowly until too much
material begins to come out with
the impurities that have been re-
moved.
Then close the damper slowly until
the cleaning capacity of the aspira-
tor is as required.
Regularly check cleaned-out mate-
rial and make adjustments if neces-
sary.
Special to KIA 20: If the cleaning
capacity is insufficient, even though
the damper is fully open, the air
quantity and thereby the cleaning
capacity can be increased by low-
ering the bottom hopper.
