If the blower inlet is fitted with a
protection mesh, it must be re-
moved before the blower can be
mounted on the aspirator. The
blower discharge can be turned to
the direction desired.
The aspirator must be fitted with a
regulating damper that can be used
to regulate the quantity of air be-
ing sent through the aspirator. The
regulating damper must be mount-
ed in the pipe connected to the
blower discharge. It is a separate
unit which can be installed in the
most convenient position for access
and adjustment.
A bottom hopper must always be
mounted on the aspirator. The
cleaning capacity of the aspirator
depends on there being correct
flow conditions between the
aspirator discharge and the bottom
hopper.
On KIA 20 the bottom hopper is ad-
justable in height. It is mounted in
its top position when supplied. (See
also "Setting of air damper".)
Use only the pipe sizes stated in
the technical data given at the
blower discharge.
The data also gives the maximum
pipe lengths that can be connected
to the blower discharge without
impairing cleaning capacity. If
very long stretches of piping are
involved, an extra blower can be
installed.
