Food that is too large, metal foil packaging, or utensils may not be placed in the de-
vice as they may cause fi re or electric shocks.
■
Never leave the device unattended when it is switched on or connected to the mains.
Pull out the mains plug if you stop using it for prolonged periods.
■
Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
■
In the event of a fi re: do not put the fi re out using water! Smother the fl ames with a
fi re blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
■
Always set up the device with a clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm) and clear
space above it (at least 30 cm) on a dry, fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface.
■
Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
in order to avoid damage to the device.
■
Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does
not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Keep the device in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40 °C.
■
Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used.
■
Never spray cold water onto the glass door of the device during or immediately after
use. The glass might shatter.
■
Always keep the glass door closed when the device is in use.
■
Do not place any heavy objects on the open glass door or the device.
■
Always place the hot baking tray, the hot rack, the hot pizza stone, the hot rotary spit
or the hot crumb collection tray down on a heat-resistant surface.
■
Make sure that no food comes into contact with the heating elements. However, if
food should bake onto a heating element, pull out the mains plug and let the de-
vice cool down completely before removing it. Never use sharp or pointy objects like
knives or forks to do this.
■
Do not place food that is still packed in plastic wrap or plastic bags in the device.
■
Always allow the device to cool down completely before putting it away.
Notes on Hygiene
■
The device may contain production residues. In order to avoid health hazards, clean
the inside of the housing and all accessories thoroughly before initial use (see the
"Before Initial Use" and "Cleaning" chapters) and heat the device up for 15 minutes
without any food in it.
■
Clean the device after every use and keep it clean to prevent the formation of germs.
