5. Screw the cooling register and the unit together (Screw: M8 x 16; s. Fig. 13).
6. Connect the cooling register to the flow and return pursuant to local regulations.
7. Cooling can produce condensate. The correct condensate connection to the sewage system must be ensured
before commissioning. A siphon or condensate pump is required for this purpose. The condensate must drip freely
into the drain after the siphon or condensate pump.
8. Open the terminal box cover and check the cable thickness for the signal connection.
– Connect the cable to the terminals and close the terminal box cover. The cable connections can be found in the
wiring diagram (SS-1353).
– Connect the other end of the cable from the cooling module terminal box to the corresponding terminal in the
unit terminal box (see wiring diagram SS-1353).
9. The following connections between the cooling register terminal box and the AHU-Kit must be used:
– Terminals 1-2: Start contact (DO) (always required)
– Terminals 11-12: Alarm signal (DI) (always required)
The DX cooling register can be controlled as a 1-stage digital signal DO, 2-stage digital signal DO or as a propor-
tional signal AO (0-10 V). The terminal connections can be found in wiring diagram (SS-1353).
10. After installation of the cooling register, adjust the settings in the commissioning assistant. In this respect, observe
the corresponding chapter in the installation and operating instructions for the respective AIR1 ventilation unit.
The 1-stage DO- or 2-stage DO-control mode must be configured in the commissioning assistant. If the propor-
tional control signal AO (0-10 V ) is used, the 1-stage digital output DO must be selected in the commissioning
assistant.

2 .1 .2 Cooling register DX for AIR1 XH and RH units

1. Apply sealing strips where the cooling register is joined together with the AIR1 unit or the external auxiliary heater
(see Fig. 12).
2. If necessary, remove screw covers on the AIR1 unit before installing the cooling register (see Fig. 13).
3. Remove the temperature sensor from the supply air side of the AIR1 unit or the external auxiliary heater. Then attach
the cooling register and the AIR1 unit or external auxiliary heater (see Fig. 14).
