At an installation height of approx. 2.5 m, the range of the PIR motion detector
is at up to 12 m.
However, consider for this range that the sensitivity must be set accordingly
high. This may cause false alarms because the PIR motion detector can also be
triggered by smaller animals (e.g. dogs, cats).
The farther away the heat source is, the larger it must be to ensure triggering of
the PIR motion detector.
As already described, both high and low ambient temperatures may cause
problems with temperature difference recognition in the recording range.
If certain areas are to be excluded from recognition by the motion detector, you
can cover the diffusing plate of the PIR motion detector, e.g. with opaque
adhesive tape.
Proceed as follows for installation:
• Open the cover (1) with the safety glass by loosening the screw (2).
• Insert a matching halogen rod luminaire in the fitting.
Do not touch the luminaire with your blank hands. Fatty residue on your fingers may otherwise cause the
luminaire glass to become matte/white in these places due as a heat effect. The material change may
cause the luminaire to burst!
Only touch the luminaire with a clean, dry, soft cloth or, e.g. a cotton glove.
• Close the cover again.
• Open the cover flap (10) for the SD memory card. A suitable L-shaped tool is included for the special screw.
• Insert the SD memory card. The delivery includes a 2GByte SD memory card. You may also use larger SDHC
memory cards with up to 32GByte, which are available as accessories.
Observe correct orientation and do not apply any force for insertion!
When inserting the SD memory card, ensure that the writing protection is off. Otherwise, no data can be
stored on the SD memory card!
• Replace the cover flap (10) and screw it on.
If the SD memory card is full, the oldest data is overwritten automatically. Thus, it is not required to remove
the SD memory card for deletion. Just leave the SD memory card in the device until you want to verify, e.g.
unauthorized entrance into the monitored area.
If no memory card is recognised after the batteries are inserted or the mains voltage is switched on, the
surveillance camera will emit a signal sound every hour.
