4.3 Flat suction function

By means of the flat suction function, you can pump off up to a 5 mm residual water depth.
- use a slot screwdriver to lever off the bottom screen
- mount the float locking mechanism as described on Page 16
- ensure that no water is in the suction line any more
- on its supporting feet, place the pump into the medium
- in order to enable ventilation of the pump, there must be an initial water level of at least 50 mm

4.4 Additional ventilation

At the side of the pump, there is the additional ventilation screw, which should be removed when the
pump is used in stationary applications and/or heavily polluted medium shall be conveyed. The
distance of the screw protects the ventilation against contamination and can prolong the maintenance
and cleaning cycles.
