In the event of a fi re: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the fl ames with a fi re
blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.

Keep children and animals away from plastic bags and fi lms. There is a danger of
suffocation.

Make sure that the mains cable is always kept out of the reach of small children and
animals. There is a danger of strangulation.
■
Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. The mains
cable must not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to
prevent the device from being pulled down.
■
Hot steam can escape from the device during operation. You should therefore keep
your head and hands out of the danger zone. There is a danger of scalding from heat
and hot steam.
■
The plates of the device will become very hot. Be careful when inserting and remov-
ing the food! If necessary, use kitchen tongs made of plastic or wood. There is a
danger of burns.
■
The device must not be moved during operation. There is a danger of burns.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

Only connect the device to a socket with safety contacts that is properly installed and
matches the "Technical Data" of the device. The socket must also be readily acces-
sible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■
Remove the mains plug if a fault occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm.
■
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. The device
should only be used when it is fully assembled, undamaged, and in working order!
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces (e.g. of the device).
■
When removing the mains plug from the plug socket, always pull on the mains plug
and never the mains cable. Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
■
Never place objects on the device.
■
Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid damage.
■
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped in water. Have
it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
■
Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or
other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the non-stick
coating of the plates. We recommend the use of kitchen utensils made from wood or
plastic.
■
Never spray cold water onto the plates during or immediately after use of the device.
This could damage the non-stick coating!
■
Protect the device from other heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures,
persistent moisture, wet conditions and impact.
