Special safety instructions for electrical devices
When using electrical devices, the safety instructions must
be applied at all time to prevent shocks, injury and/or fire
risks. Read and apply the advice before you use the
machinery.
When using the device
 Check the following:
- Does the power supply for the device correspond with the mains
supply of 230-240 Volt?
- Are the mains cable and plug in good condition: sturdy, without
loose ends or damage.
 Be careful when using extension cables.
 Do not use the device in damp conditions.
 The metal mouthpiece will get hot. Be careful with it and do not
touch the metal component!
 Prevent damage to the heating element. Do not close off the
mouthpiece and the ventilation openings and/or block them.
 Stay with the device if it is switched on.
 Never direct the flow of heat towards persons and/or animals.
 Do not look into the mouthpiece/burner opening.
 Do not use the device in rainy weather or a damp environment or in
an environment where there is the risk of an explosion, or near to
flammable liquids.
 Do not use the device in dry areas, to avoid the risk of fire.
 During breaks, move all components from the device, e.g. when
replacing the mouthpiece, and remove the plug from the socket
when not in use.
 Do not point the device at the same location for a long period during
use.
 Do not place the mouthpiece opening too close to the surface. A
buildup of air could lead to the device overheating.
 Be aware of the immediate working environment and the
surrounding area. The heat can penetrate flammable materials that
are outside the immediate vicinity.
 The device must be kept clean, dry and free of oil or lubrication
grease.
 Never use the device for inappropriate purposes.
