Battery power:
• As soon as [Lo] illuminates in the display, the batteries should be replaced.
• Remove the batteries when not using the scales for a long period of time (e.g. several months) to prevent
damage caused by battery leakage.
Environment:
• At the end of its lifespan, this product should not be discarded as normal domestic waste, but
is must be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electric and electronic equipment.
• Don't throw away exhausted batteries, take them to your local depot for small chemical waste.
Storage:
If the scales must be stored for a long period of time:
• Remove the batteries to prevent damage caused by battery leakage.
• Store the scales horizontally, i.e. NOT on its side.
• DO NOT place heavy objects onto the scales.
• Store the scales in a dry space, within temperatures between 10°C and 60°C.
Service:
• The scales are calibrated upon leaving the factory. The scales don't contain any adjustment controls or
spare parts.
• First replace the batteries when you suspect a fault in the device. If this doesn't resolve the problem,
please refer to the Alecto site: www.alecto.nl.
Reset:
The scales may be reset to the initial factory settings. All data in the scales will be removed, including the
data of the set baby. Make sure the scales are turned off.
