4.4 Altering the contacts at later date
4.4.1 Version /-S12
Important notice: When working with the circuit board (contact strip) a high
level of cleanliness must be maintained! Dirt or grease can cause contact
problems and malfunctions.
The switching contacts activated by the fl oat are mounted on a gold-plated
contact strip (in cm scale) using plastic screws. The contact housings are
made in different colours and must only be fi tted to the contact strip in a very
specifi c order (see following instruction). They are positioned at the factory
according to the order specifi cations and can be adjusted higher or lower
afterwards (taking into account minimum distances!).

Unscrew the fi lter cap and remove the fi lter element.

Undo the 6 mounting screws and remove the fi lter holder and gasket.
Undo the 4 screws on the fl ange cover and take off the cover
and the cover gasket.
Carefully remove the adapter plug from the contact strip (Warning: On type
"D" (temperature display) some on the adaptor plug cables are permanently
soldered to the temperature module!).
Carefully remove the contact strip by pulling up.
Undo the plastic screws on the contacts and reposition the contacts using the
cm-scale as a guide (this is on the back of the contact strip). Adjustment is in
1 cm increments.
The fl uid level monitoring device is fi tted with two bi-stable switching contacts
which can be turned through 180° for either NO or NC function.
It is possible to change the contact function at a later date.
There are two arrows on the contact housing. The arrow which is pointing up
when installed indicates the contact function which is in use.
