4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

4.1

The Icons and Error Messages

Error Display
Battery is low.
Measurement before unit stabilization.
The unit is showing a rapid ambient temperature
change.
The ambient temperature is not within the range
between 10°C–40°C (50°F–104°F).
Errors 5–9 indicate a malfunction of the unit.
Cause Remedy
Replace the battery.
(Refer to section 4.4)
Wait until all the icons stop flashing.
Allow the unit to rest in a room for at least
30 minutes at room temperature: 10°C–40°C
(50°F–104°F).

Remove the battery, wait for 1 minute, reinsert the
battery, and turn on the unit again. If the message
reappears, please contact the OMRON retail
outlet or distributor for having the unit checked.
