Failure to keep long hair tied back
u
and away from the air inlet could res-
ult in personal injury.
Thoroughly inspect the area where

the product is to be used and remove
all wires and other foreign objects.
Check cable for damage before start-

ing work and replace if necessary.
Keep cable away from heat, oil and
sharp edges.
Always direct the cable to the rear

away from the product.
Never operate the product with de-

fective guards or shields, or without
safety devices, for example collec-
tion bag in place.
Always ensure all handles and

guards supplied are fitted when us-
ing the product. Never attempt to
use an incomplete product or one fit-
ted with an unauthorized modifica-
tion.
While operating the product always

be sure of a safe and secure operat-
ing position at all times.
Always be aware of your surround-

ings and stay alert for possible haz-
ards that you may not hear whilst op-
erating the leaf blower.
Do not over reach and keep your bal-

ance at all times.
Always be sure of your footing on

Walk, never run.

tion.
A worn fan or blower housing (chips,

cracks, nicks) may cause an in-
creased risk of injury from thrown
foreign objects. If the fan or blower
housing are damaged, consult the
Bosch hotline.
Recommendations for Optimal
Handling of the Battery Pack
Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuit-
u
ing.
Protect the battery against heat (e.g.,
against continuous intense sunlight), fire,
water, and moisture. There is a risk of explo-
sion.
In case of damage and improper use of the battery
u
pack, vapours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and
seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can
irritate the respiratory system.
Only use the battery with products from the manufac-
u
turer. This is the only way in which you can protect the
battery against dangerous overload.
The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such
u
as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally.
An internal short circuit may occur, causing the battery to
burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
Do not short-circuit the battery. There is a risk of explo-
u
sion.
Occasionally clean the venting slots of the battery using a
u
soft, clean and dry brush.
