Before accepting the equipment, check:
a. That all components are in good condition.
b. The exact installation position of the unit and its proper orientation.
Extra precautions must be taken for installation in areas with high winds and snow.
Contact the company for further information.
Warnings:
• the system must either be capped during assembly or the tank should be
filled immediately.
• there is a risk of high temperatures when thermal fluid is being added.
The filling procedure should be carried out during periods of low solar radiation, as all components
may have a very high temperature. The system should be covered during assembly.
Please note:
• The piping and installation components must meet all insulation regulations
in force in each country.
The characteristics of the water to be used may affect to the performance and life of the product.
Domestic water supply must respect following values:
WATER QUALITY
pH
Hardness (ºdH)
Chlorides (mg/l)
Free chlorine (mg/l)
Sulphate (mg/l)
Conductibility (μS/cm - 25º C)
8.2 Location of unit
In determining installation locations, all possible alternatives must be considered in order to obtain
optimal equipment performance, keeping in mind the safety requirements of the unit to include roof
loads, wind, snow, etc., integration into the architectural structure and accessibility for maintenance
work.
It is also important to consider the distance from solar heating equipment to consumption points and/
or auxiliary equipment for domestic hot water production.
Shadows cast by adjacent buildings, chimneys, vegetation, terrain, etc. should be avoided in as much
as the power sent to the primary circuit circulating pump (and to IoT electronics in the SMART version)
is provided by the photovoltaic cell of the system, and will not be function if shadows affect the unit.
If the system is installed on a flat surface and there is more than one collector, the minimum
distance between the two must be taken into account in order to avoid shadowing. The following is
recommended for obtaining optimal separation:
