10. TROUBLESHOOTING
In purchasing the endoscope, you have acquired a product designed to the state of the art and
operationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur. Therefore, we would like to
describe to you how to remove possible interferences.
The power meter has no function; it cannot be switched on:
• The batteries may be empty. Open the battery compartment lid as described in chapter 8 a).
Check the batteries and replace them in necessary.
The power meter works, but once you activate the laser, the display lighting starts to
flash:
• The batteries are probably almost flat and the current no longer suffices to supply the laser
and backlighting both.
Check the batteries and replace them if necessary.
The device as such works, but the measured result is not displayed correctly, or the
displayed value does not stabilise:
• Check if the plug of the fibreglass cable is correctly connected to the measuring input or the
laser output.
E.g. for an FC plug, the guide must latch properly before you can close the screw connection
completely.
11. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The product is maintenance-free for you. Never take it apart or open it (except for the
procedure as described in these operating instructions for inserting or replacing the batteries).
Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a specialist.
A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning the outside.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions. They may dam-
age the surface of the casing (discolourations).
