Description
The Thermal Imager is an accessory intended to be used with the Mini Visioval Handheld
viewing devices. The Thermal Imager allows the user to locate temperature variations both on
material surfaces, as well as locating thermal variations within certain construction materials. It
can be used for a wide variety of applications including, but not limited to: routine home
inspection (windows, doors, wall and attic insulation), identifying water leaks through temperature
variation, tracing hot/cold water lines behind concealed materials (walls / flooring). The Thermal
Imager mounts to the back of the Mini Visioval using the removable magnet accessories
(included), and attaches to the same imager connector as the other Mini Visioval accessories.

Installing the Thermal Imager to the Mini Visioval
Only one device (accessory) should be connected to the Mini Visioval at a time. Always
make sure the unit is off when installing or removing any accessories (including the
Thermal Imager).
Remove the set of 3 magnets from the BMC, and securely attach them in the top 3 threaded
inserts on the back of the Mini Visioval. Firmly grasp the Thermal Imager, and align the holes on
the back of the unit with the magnets on the back of the Mini Visioval. Once aligned, gently apply
downward pressure on the Thermal Imager to secure the unit in place. To secure the connector to
the hand-held device, make sure the key and slot of the center (black) connector are properly
aligned. Once they are aligned, hand-tighten the knurled nut to hold the connection in place.
