1. TECHNICAL INFORMATION

1.1 MIXING VALVE CONFIGURATION AND CONTROL FOR RADIANT SYSTEM
The mixing valve, controlled from the USER INTERFACE, makes it possible to control a radiant system and a fancoil system simultaneously. While the
ELECTA heat pump produces water suitable for fancoil operation, the mixing valve controls the delivery temperature to the radiant system, mixing it
with the return temperature from the system.
Below, an example of a plant engineering solution if the KCTR is used.
Fig. 1: A plant engineering solution for the air conditioning of two rooms, one with a KCTR-controlled radiant system, the other with a room thermostat-
controlled fancoil. The room thermostat enables Pump 1 and decides when to switch to Set point 2.
Also, two safety thermostats have been set up on the radiant system: one is high-temperature, installed on the delivery collector, and controls the
opening of the "Remote On/Off" switch, the other is low-temperature, installed on the return collector, and controls the closing of the "Dew Point Sen-
sor" switch.
