3.4 pH probe calibration:

Accessories to calibrate the probe:
- An empty bottle to be refilled with drinkable water
- Buffer solution pH7
- Buffer solution pH4
- pH probe out of the hose of the plant
A) Clean the electrode into the bottle of drinkable water.
B) Dip the electrode into the pH7 buffer solution, move slowly for 3 seconds
C) Push the CAL button till the display will show the value 7.0 ,
D) Wait for about 1 minute till the display will show alternatively the word CAL and the number 4.0
E) Clean the electrode into the bottle of drinkable water
F) Dip the electrode into the pH4 buffer solution and move slowly for 3 seconds
G) Wait for about 1 minute till the display will show the quality of the electrode (from 25% to 99%).
If the value of the quality is under 50% it is suggested to change the electrode.
H) Put the electrode into the hose of the swimming pool plant
I) Push CAL button to switch the pump in working mode.

3.5 Modification of the default settings

Alkaline dosing to increase the pH:
A) Push the SET button for some seconds (about ten seconds) till the display will show the word
AC that means Acid dosing (pH -).
B) Release SET button
C) Push one time the Down button and the display will show the word AL that means Alkaline
dosing (pH +).
D) Push SET button to confirm the choice and to switch in work mode the pump.
Changing the set point:
A) Push the SET button to read the value of the set point. If you want to change it keep pushing
the SET button and in the same time push the Down button if you want to decrease the value of
the set point or the Up button if you want to increase it. One touch on the button Down or Up will
modify the value of 0.1 pH.
B) When the value shown by the display will be the desired one, release the button SET.

4.0 ALARMS

rE
The value of the measured pH cannot be lower than 6 pH and higher than 8 pH.
The calibration cannot be done for different reasons:
-The buffer solutions are not good (replace them with new ones)
cE
-The pH probe doesn't work (replace it with a new one)
-The probe's quality is lower than 25 % (replace it with a new one)
UL
The tank of the chemical is empty
Litepool measures or measured a value of pH outside of the tolerable values in a
swimming pool. Value lower than pH 5 or higher than pH 9. The dosing is then
blocked at stop.
Check the state of the electrode by immersing it in solution pH 4 and check that
measurement display is between 3.7 and 4.3 pH. If the electrode does not respond
correctly it must be changed. If the electrode is responding well, check that tha TAC
PE
(complete title alcalimetric) in your water is higher than 100 mg/l (10° F), check the
point of injection, check if the suction strainer soaks well in the product, check that
the chemical product has not changed, thus varying the value of pH outside the
correct value. If the pH has descended below 6, it is imperative to control the TAC
and to readjust it with a value higher than 100 mg/litre (10° F).
The dosing restart automatically when pH reading goes back to 5-9 pH
