Set-up and mode of operation

The TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact consists of a single-stage, direct-acting,
spring-loaded pressure regulator with inlet pressure compensation. The TESCOM EUROPE
WegaMed Compact is fitted with a pressure relief valve.

3.1

Scope

These instructions for use are valid for the TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact, part
number D50770.
3.2

target audience

These instructions for use are intended for anyone responsible for the installation, operation
and monitoring of the above valves and fittings.
The operator has a duty to ensure that only personnel who are familiar with the
general practice and safety measures associated with working with gases and
gas valves and fittings, as well as with the fundamental regulations with regard
to occupational safety and accident prevention, are permitted to work on the
device. These personnel must also have been taught how to handle the pressu-
rised device, and have read and understood the instructions for use.
It is absolutely essential that you read and understand at least Chapter 1 "For
your safety and that of your patients" and Chapter 4 "Installation and operation"
before attempting to operate the valves and fittings.
Operators must be given access to these instructions. Additional copies can be supplied
on request.
