    ZU IhRER UND IhRER PatIENtEN SIChERhEIt Sicherheitshinweise • Bitte lesen und beachten Sie die folgenden Hinweise, bevor Sie den TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact in Betrieb nehmen oder warten. • Der WegaMed Compact darf nur gemäß der Zweckbestimmung in dieser Gebrauchs- anweisung verwendet werden (siehe Kapitel 2.1 "Zweckbestimmung").

PRODUKtBESChREIBUNG Zweckbestimmung Der WegaMed Compact dient der druckreduzierten Abgabe von medizinischen Gasen für unterschiedliche medizinische Geräte aus den Bereichen Medizin und Therapie. Dazu werden sie vom Anwender an Druckgasflaschen (bis 20 MPa = 200 bar Flaschendruck) angeschlossen.

    Anwender bzw. Betreiber. transport und Verpackung Der Transport und die Lagerung des TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact (z.B. Versand zum Hersteller) dürfen nur in geeigneter, stabiler Verpackung, z.B. Originalverpackung, erfolgen. Die Ein- und Ausgangsanschlüsse müssen hierbei mit geeigneten Schutzkappen versehen werden.

    Flaschenbügel Der Druckminderer kann auch mit einem Flaschenbügel ausgerüstet sein. Dabei ist zu beachten, dass nur der eine mitgelieferte original TESCOM EUROPE Dichtring verwendet werden darf. Bei der Montage ist unbedingt zu prüfen, dass der Dichtring unbeschädigt und sauber ist.

    3. TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact an das nachgeschaltete Geräte fachgerecht anschließen. Lesen Sie dazu auch die Hinweise der Hersteller dieser nachgeschalteten Geräte. 4. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass alle nachgeschalteten Geräte, Schläuche und Verbin- dungselemente mit der gleichen Gasart gekennzeichnet sind.

Verschließen Sie mit den Schutzkappen die Ein- und Ausgangsanschlüsse des TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact. 6. Den Druckminderer bis zur nächsten Verwendung sauber, staubfrei und trocken einlagern.

    PRODUCt DESCRIPtION Intended purpose The WegaMed Compact is used for a variety of medical equipment in the field of medicine and therapy to regulate the pressure at which medical gases are delivered. For this purpose, users connect it to compressed gas cylinders (up to 20 MPa = 200 bar cylinder pressure).

    Connection to a compressed gas cylinder The use of dust-free, dry medical gases is essential if the TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact is to function as intended. Damaged or soiled appliances or gas cylinders must never be used. A check must be carried out to ensure that there is no evidence of damage or soiling on the connections on the gas cylinder and the WegaMed Compact.

Before connecting the TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact, slowly open the valve on the compressed gas cylinder briefly in a well ventilated room or outdoors (this is to blow out any contamination). Pressure surges caused by opening the valve too quickly can cause explosions! to avoid the risk of injury, the gas jet must be directed away from any persons in the vicinity.

    The pressure regulator can also be fitted with a PIN index. Please note that only the one original TESCOM EUROPE gasket included in the scope of supply may be used. When making the connection, it is absolutely essential to check the gasket for evidence of damage and soiling.

    3. Correct and proper procedures must be followed when connecting the TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact to downstream equipment. Please also read the instruc- tions issued by the manufacturers of the downstream equipment you are using. 4. All downstream equipment, hoses and connecting elements must be marked with the same gas type.

    4. Unscrew the pressure regulator from the valve on the compressed gas cylinder. 5. Cover the inlet and outlet connections on the TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact with protective caps. 6. Store the pressure regulator in a clean, dust-free and dry place until the next time it needs to be used.

    Should faults be detected during the performance test or when the appliance is in operation, the TESCOM EUROPE WegaMed Compact must be taken out of service immediately. Contact TESCOM EUROPE or an authorised specialist dealer to have the fault rectified.
