The meaning of the symbols that are both attached to the appliance (e.g. type plate) and
contained in the accompanying information, such as instructions for use or packaging, is
explained in the following section.

Intended purpose
The WegaMed Compact is used for a variety of medical equipment in the field of medicine
and therapy to regulate the pressure at which medical gases are delivered. For this
purpose, users connect it to compressed gas cylinders (up to 20 MPa = 200 bar cylinder
pressure). It is not suitable for the operation of surgical equipment.
Reduction of 20 MPa (200 bar) inlet pressure maximum to a nominal outlet pressure of
450 kPa (4.5 bar).
Only to be used for the medical gas indicated on the WegaMed Compact:

"Manufacturer"
The name of the manufacturer appears next to this symbol. It might be

"Date of manufacture"
The year of manufacture appears next to this symbol.
"Free from oil and grease"
This symbol denotes equipment that uses medical gases and must therefore
be kept free from oil and grease.
"Temperature restriction"
This symbol indicates a temperature range, e.g. in connection with storage
or operating conditions.
