defined period of up to 60 minutes.
Press the SLEEP button once or several times and select the duration of the
sleep timer (in 15 minute intervals). Then, for example, S15 is shown on the dis-
play for a 15 minute timer.
After the selected duration, the device switches itself off automatically.
If you wish to cancel the sleep timer, proceed as follows:
Press the SLEEP button once or several times until S00 appears on the display.

Press the SNOOZE button once or several times to run through the dimming
phases.
8.9. Bluetooth mode
You can use Bluetooth to play tracks wirelessly from external devices (such as MP3
players or mobile phones with Bluetooth) on this alarm clock. In addition, depend-
ing on the end device, phone calls can be made via the alarm clock using the inte-
grated microphone.
Press the M button once or several times until BT appears on the display.
8.9.1.
Connecting Bluetooth devices for the first time
Switch on Bluetooth mode as described above. Enable the Bluetooth function
on your external device as well.
BT flashes in the display. The alarm clock is in pairing mode.
Perform pairing on the external device. Refer to the instructions for your external
device for more information. The audio system's name is "MD 43970".
BT appears on the display permanently and the pairing process is now com-
plete; the external device can now be used with the alarm clock.
If you want to stop data transfer via Bluetooth, switch off the Bluetooth function
on the external device or press M to switch to a different mode.
To cancel the connection to a currently connected device, press and hold down
the M dial until BT flashes on the display again.
Known external devices, which have already been paired once, will be connected
again automatically in the future. It is not necessary to pair the devices again. To re-
connect, simply activate Bluetooth mode on both devices.
