FAILURE DETECTION
During the various normal search phases, the LEDs indicate the antenna's behaviour:
- Off: the antenna is closed.
- Slow flashing: the antenna is searching for a signal
- Fast flashing: the antenna has found the signal and refines its different angles for maximum
signal gain.
- On permanently: the antenna has found the signal with the maximum gain. The demodulator
can then be switched on.
But the CP+ Connect can emit an audible alarm as described below to indicate different
problems. Depending on the problem, a sound beep will be emitted with different LEDs on
(Antenna with mini panel option). These different cases are described below:
Error 1 (LED 1): Blocked elevation or encoding error from elevation to
opening
Tip 1: The lift motor and/or its power cable may be defective. Check the motor
cable.
Error-2 (LED2): Blocked elevation or encoding error from elevation to closing
Tip 2: The lift motor and/or its power cable may be defective. Check the motor
cable.
Error-3 (LED1 + LED2) : Azimuth cannot reach the switch
Tip 3: Antenna rotation problem. Make sure that nothing prevents the antenna from
rotating
Error-4 (LED3): Short-circuit of the antenna rotation when closing
Tip 4: The rotation motor and/or power cable may be defective. Check the motor
cable
Error-5 (LED1 + LED3) : Short-circuit of antenna rotation when opening
Tip 5: The rotation motor and/or power cable may be defective. Check the motor
cable.
Error-6 (LED2 + LED3) : Short circuit of the antenna elevation when closing
Tip 6: The elevation motor is not detected: check the motor cable
Error-7 (LED1 + LED2 + LED3) : Short-circuit of the antenna elevation when
opening
Tip 7: The motor cable is not connected. Check the connection.
Error-8 (LED4): LNB head is not connected or defective
Tip 8: The LNB head and/or coaxial cable is not connected or is damaged. Check
the connection.
Error-9 (LED1 + LED4) : Smart search error
