If the charger is not connected to a power supply, it can be used as a battery testing
device. You can then check the condition of the battery. the integrated voltage test
device has 3 LeDs that indicate the following:
• red:
<12.3 V (battery needs charging)
• orange:
between 12.3 V and 12.6 V (medium charge)
• green:
>12.6 V (battery is charged)
• Top position: Gentle charging
• Bottom position: Rapid charging
the charging current can be selected before the charging process.
At a lower charging current, the battery is charged more slowly and more gently.
At higher charging currents, the charging duration is reduced but the battery is charged
less gently.
Only connect the charger to the socket when the charging terminals are correctly
connected.
Schließen Sie die Ladeklemmen in der folgenden reihenfolge an:
1. Connect the positive charging terminal (red) to the positive pole of the battery.
2. Connect the negative charging terminal (black) to the chassis of the vehicle or to the
negative pole of the battery.
3. ensure that both pole terminals have good contact with their corresponding
connection poles.
4. Plug the mains plug of the battery charger into a suitable alternating current socket..
• The green light „POWER" above the fuse indicates the AC mains connection.
• The orange light indicates that the charging process is underway.
• The green light goes on when the charging process is finished.
the battery is now fully charged and ready for operation or it can be stored with trickle
charging - for example, during the winter months.
• If the green LED does not light up after a longer period, check the front fuse after
switching off the battery charger and pulling the mains plug out. If the green LeD still
does not light up, have the battery checked by a specialist.
• If the green LED on the charger lights up after a very short period, as if the battery has
already been charged, then the battery is sulphated. the battery needs replacing.
• The charging terminals of the battery charger are insulated and there is no voltage
present as long as the battery charger is not connected.
• If connection is made with the incorrect polarity, a warning signal sounds.
the charging process is not started.
• The battery charger is protected by the front fuse against overload which can result if
the battery is defective or if the battery charger is used incorrectly.
1. Pull the mains plug of the battery charger out of the alternating current socket.
2. Disconnect the negative charging terminal (black) from the chassis of the vehicle or
from the negative pole of the battery.
3. Disconnect the positive charging terminal (red) from the positive pole of the battery.
the charging terminals and the mains cable can be packed away on the back of the
battery charger.
