Properly Storing Your Vacuum
Store your canister vacuum safely
where it will not be a hazard, will
not get damaged and will not cause
damage to anyone or anything.

Turn the vacuum cleaner off.

Unplug the power cord from the
electrical wall outlet and hold
the power cord firmly in your
hand while pressing on the cord
rewind button. Slowly feed the
power cord back in. If the cord
does not fully retract, pull it out
an arm's length and try feeding
it in again.
DO NOT let go of the power
cord and allow it to whip around
while rewinding.

Detach the hose from the
telescopic tube and wrap the
hose loosely around the canister
vacuum. (Fig. 26)

Store the telescopic tube
attached to the motorized power
nozzle in the upright position
with the accessories on the
holder. (Fig. 27)

Resetting the Motor Thermostat
Your Shark
®
Pet Professional
canister vacuum is equipped with
a protective Motor Thermostat. If
the motor should overheat, the
thermostat shuts off the power.

To reset the Motor Thermostat:
1
Press the on/off button to turn
the vacuum off.
2
Unplug the vacuum.
3
Check for clogged hose or filter;
unclog hose and replace filter.
Refer to Checking for Block-
ages.

Wait 45 minutes for vacuum to
cool; then plug in the vacuum.
5
Press the on/off button to start
the vacuum.
Note: If vacuum still does not start,
