2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The 3DGflex headend is equipped with a cabinet that can contain up to 6 different modules
and a control unit that performs various functions.
The control unit is located in the first slot and performs the following:
• Feeds up to 6 cards
• Power supplies the LNB (400mA total 14V) remotely
• Programs the headend by means of its keyboard and display (only for 3DG-BOX version)
• Programs the headend either locally or remotely by the LAN port and the Web interface
• Monitors the parameters (only for 3DG-BOX versione) of the headend locally or remotely
by the LAN port and receives signalization via email in the event of failures (CONTROLLER
HOST included)
• Imports and exports the configurations from/to other headends of the same type by a USB
port or PC memory.
• Shows the status of the headend by means of two LEDs.
The cabinet houses the modules and performs the following:
• Allows the passage of correct voltage among the modules
• Enables the communication between the modules and the control unit for programming
and monitoring remotely
• Helps to bring forward the progress of signals tuned by other modules, utilizing it as an
additional input on the back panel.
• Mixes the RF output signals and amplifies them.
The cabinet also keeps and protects the connections to the CAM units as it can be locked
by a key.

The packaging contains the following materials:
• a cabinet that keeps up to 6 cards
• a control unit
• user's manual
• Keys to lock the cabinet door
• brackets and screws for assembly.
