6.1.4. Wiring example
• The voltage is supplied at both safety inputs of the terminal sensor chain (considered from the safety
monitoring module).
• The safety outputs of the first safety switch are wired to the safetymonitoring module. The signal output
can be connected for instance to a PLC.

6.2. Coding
6.2.1. Standard
• Safety switches with standard coding (SD4RAS01SN89, SD4RAS02SN89) are ready to use upon delivery.
6.2.2. Individual
• Individually encoded safety switches (SD4RAS01IN89, SD4RAS02IN89, SD4RAS01TN89, SD4RAS02TN89)
are taught according to the following sequence:
1. Energise the safety switch.
2. Introduce the actuator in the detection range. The teachin procedure is signalled at the safety switch red
LED on, yellow LED flashes (1 Hz).
3. After 10 seconds, brief cyclic flashes (3 Hz) request the switchoff of the operating voltage of the safety
switch. (If the voltage is not switched off within 5 minutes, the safety switch cancels the "teachin" procedure
and signals a false actuator by 5 red flashes).
4. After the operating voltage is switched back on, the actuator must be detected once more in order to activate
the taught actuator code. In this way, the activated code is definitively saved!
• For ordering SD4RAS01IN89 and SD4RAS02IN89, the thus executed allocation of safety sensor and
actuator is irreversible.
