Product Description

Intended Use
The system is designed solely for pumping the
following media:
• Lubricants with a viscosity of
NLGI 4/1'000'000 mPa s or less
• Container size according to the datasheet
Labelling
The drum pump is identified by the rating plate
located on the control cabinet (Figure B / no.7).
The rating plate contains information for identifying
the device.
Function
Pneumatic ABNOX drum pumps are used to pump
lubricants from original containers up to a size of
180 kg. The suction behaviour of the standard
ABNOX pumps is improved considerably by the
adjustable follower plate pressure, since the media
is forced towards the suction port. This also makes
it possible to prevent the follower plate from getting
stuck, for example on a seam.
A pneumatic empty signal stops the pumping
process when the container reaches the lowest fill
level and indicates this state with a warning signal
(option L). Turning the pump off prevents air from
being drawn in when the container is empty, and
thus also prevents the laborious bleeding of the entire
system and the associated large loss of media. Using
the two-handed control, the follower plate can be
lifted out of the container easily and without applying
force in order to change the drum.
The drum pumps are available with various pressure
ratios and pump types.
