Safety
WARNING ! This playset is not for children under 36 months old. There is a risk of a fall for children under 36 months of age, as the size and design
of our products are not suited to this age group. Our products are designed for children between 3 and 12 years old.
WARNING ! Only for domestic outdoor use, under adult responsibility and supervision. Our products are not to be used in public areas (schools,
nurseries, playing fields, etc). Must be fixed in concrete.
WARNING ! It is dangerous for children to eat when using the game. Wear suitable clothes for playing (no strings, cords or loose hanging fabrics).
Installation
1)
This product must be installed on flat horizontal ground (slope under 2%). Ensure that there is a safety area of 2 meters around the playing
area (see Fig. N°1) so that the children do not hurt other children ; place your structure far away from any structure or obstacle such as
fencing, garage, house, tree branches, washing lines or electric cables.
2)
The playset must not be installed on concrete, tarmac or any other hard surface. We advise you not to position the playset in full sunlight
(especially the slides, which can get very hot).
Assembly
Assembly should be done by two adults. Please read the instructions carefully before starting to assemble the product. Please follow the instructions
precisely, in the order that they are listed.
When tightening screws, the following indication means that the screws should be in place but not tightened:
In all other cases, screws must be tightened using the tools provided.
Our products are designed using locking nuts. They should therefore be tight. Tighten until there is
no space between the parts, then add another half turn, or follow the detailed instructions on the
exploded views.
Assemble and install the structure in the following stages:
1)
Assemble the central tower structure, referring to the exploded views on the following pages;
2)
Make the tower anchor holes according to the recommendations set out below and the exploded views on the following pages:
· Position the tower in the desired direction, placing an object in the appropriate direction on the ground to represent the slide section.
· Mark the position of the tower feet using pegs (Ref. 150105) driven into the ground (see Fig. N°2).
· Move the tower aside and make 20 cm x 20 cm square holes that are approx. 20-30 cm deep, at the location of each peg.
3)
Match the slide section up to the tower and adjust the depth of the anchor holes so that the slide lies flush on top of the p latform. Use a level
to ensure that the platform is horizontal;
4)
Assemble the arches and add them to the tower: do not tighten the screws at the joints (Ref. 122525) at this stage (see Fig. N°3);
5)
Position the arches according to the dimensions shown in the diagram in Figure 4, then mark the position of the arch feet using pegs (Ref.
150105) stuck in the ground;
6)
Detach the arches from the tower and dig anchor holes (20 cm x 20 cm, and approx. 20-30 cm deep) at the location of each peg;
7)
Fully assemble the entire structure, finishing by drilling 3 mm holes using the bradawl provided and inserting the corresponding screws (Fig.
N°5). This step is essential to ensure the arches remain permanently in place;
8)
Move on to the anchoring process (see next paragraph);
9)
Install game apparatus (see notice provided with game apparatus).
Embedding
The product must be anchored to concrete blocks using the pegs (Ref. 150105) and anchor plates (Ref. 150107) provided with the product (see
Fig. N°6). Ensure the galvanised anchor tube (Ref. 150108) is driven 2-5 cm into the ground (see Fig. N°6) or add 2-5 cm of earth or gravel to
the bottom of the anchor hole before inserting the anchor plates. This will encourage any residual moisture within the tube to drain into the ground,
rather than getting trapped in the concrete.
The anchor blocks can either be made from concrete (mixture of cement, sand and possibly gravel) or mortar (ready-to-use mixture). As a guide,
to anchor the structure, allow one 25 kg bag of cement to make concrete, or five 25 kg bags of mortar (for four arches) or six 25 kg bags (for five
arches).
These concrete cubes should be flush with the ground, to prevent the risk of tripping. Ideally, the concrete should be covered by 5 cm of loose soil.
