The one−way flow control valves may modify the closing time (and thereby the
bearing loading) of the gripper jaws. In the case of short and light gripper
fingers, the already built−in restrictor enables an additional, external restrictor
to be dispensed with.
6 Commissioning
Use proximity switches as described in the chapter Accessories" for interro

gating the end positions.
When interrogating both piston end positions:
push the proximity switches into separate grooves.

When adjusting the proximity switches:
always use compressed air to move the gripper piston into the desired end
S
position.
If the gripper jaws are positioned mechanically, the piston position will not be
correct for the operating status.
Complete system
Slowly pressurize the complete system.

This will prevent uncontrolled movements from occurring.
For slow start−up pressurization, use safety start−up valve type HEL−... .
Individual unit
Warning
S Make sure that:
nobody can place his/her hand between
the gripper fingers
there are no objects between the gripper
fingers (e.g. by means of a protective
screen).
