5. Check the device regularly for damage. Do not use the device in case the power cord or plug is
damaged, or when any component of the device has been dropped or damaged. If the power cord
is damaged, you must have it replaced by Van den Berg Products or a service centre authorized by
Van den Berg Products in order to avoid safety hazards.
6. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.
7. This appliance is not suitable for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless someone responsible for their
safety is supervising them or explains how the appliance must be used. Close supervision is
required if the appliance is used near of children, pets or plants.
8. Never allow children to play with the packaging as there is risk of suffocation.
9. Do not leave the device unattended when the plug is in the socket.
10. Always remove the plug from the socket when you clean the device or when you are not using the
device.
11. Never pull the power cord to disconnect the plug from the socket; instead, hold the plug and gently
pull to disconnect.
12. Do not use the device with an extension cord unless this extension cord has been checked and
tested by a qualified mechanic.
13. Do not pull or carry the device by its power cord and do not use the power cord as a handle. Do
pull the power cord around sharp edges or corners.
14. Do not allow the power cord to be compressed or curled.
15. Keep the device, the plug and the power cord away from flames and hot surfaces.
16. Do not use attachments which are not recommended by Van den Berg Products, especially
accessories which are not supplied with the appliance.
17. Never use the device in areas where certain vapours may be present (paint thinner, flammable
material, oil based paint and varnish, flammable liquids and gases) for risk of an explosion.
18. Place the device on a solid surface. Preferably do not use a soft surface like, for example, an
artificial fibre table cloth. The device should not be placed on a vulnerable surface, such as a glass
table, painted furniture, etc.
19. NEVER put your hands or any other objects in the unit when the device is switched on and the
motor running.
20. Do not operate the juicer for more than 3 minutes at a time when juicing heavy loads and let it
cool down sufficiently afterwards.
21. Use this device exclusively for the preparation of fruit and vegetable juices.
22. Use only the pounder included for pressing down pieces of fruit or vegetables that are stuck in the
opening.
23. If you wish to move the device, make sure it is switched off. You must use both hands when moving
the device.
24. Only unlock the latch after you have switched off the appliance and the grater has stopped
rotating.
25. Do not remove the pulp container when the appliance is in operation.
26. Do not use the device outdoors.
27. Never immerse the motor housing into water or into any other liquids.
28. Do not touch the device or the plug with wet hands.
29. Store the appliance indoors.
This appliance is only intended for domestic use; NOT suitable for commercial purposes.
