Water may emerge from the attachment when you fi rst start using it. This is nor-
mal and does not constitute a defect with the device.
As the pipe in the device has to refi ll with steam each time you use it, you may
need to press the steam release button several times when you start using it be-
fore steam starts emerging.
How much steam is emitted depends mainly on the speed and frequency with
which the steam release button is pressed. The faster you press the release but-
ton, the more steam is emitted. However, this is at the expense of the tempera-
ture. You should therefore only press the steam release button every 1-2 seconds
to ensure that the steam is hot enough.
If you want to steam-press clothing, use the wide nozzle with the cleaning cloth and
hang the clothing on a coat hanger beforehand.
1. If you have not already done so, fi t the attachment of your choice (see the "Putting Into Op-
eration" chapter, "Attaching/Removing Attachments" section) and pour water into the water
reservoir (see the "Putting Into Operation" chapter, "Adding/Removing Water" section).
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed mains socket. The control lamp starts to light
up and the device starts to heat up.
3. The control lamp goes out after a few minutes. The device is now ready for use.
4. Move the attachment over the surface which is to be cleaned and press the steam release
button to release steam.
5. If you want to top up the water during use, pull out the mains plug and allow the device to
cool down completely.
6. Then pour water into the water reservoir (see the "Putting Into Operation" chapter, "Add-
ing/Removing Water" section).
7. Remove the plug from the mains socket after use and allow the device to cool down com-
pletely. Unscrew the water reservoir cap a little so that the pressure can escape. Only fully
unscrew the water reservoir cap once the pressure has been released and empty the water
reservoir (see the "Putting Into Operation" chapter, "Adding/Removing Water" section).
8. Clean the device if necessary and store it in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to chil-
dren (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
